While Nipsey Hussle’s upcoming album Victory Lap will be available on Feb. 16, there’s likely a handful of people who will not be rushing to support the Atlantic Records MC.
Nip ruffled a few feathers on Monday (Jan. 8) after posting a picture to Instagram of black men and boys dressed in all black attire at. Per his caption, the picture supposedly excludes “hyper violent” men, as well as homosexual men and men who abandon their children.
“Demonstration speaks louder than Conversation. They gone feed us every image of our men and boys but this one,” he wrote. “No hyper violent…No homo sexual…No abandoners….JUS STRONG BLAC MEN AND YOUNG Men. RESPECT TO MY BIG HOMIE @bigu1 for Leading with love and intelligence. GOD IS WITH US WHO CAN GO AGAINST US.”
“I don’t sympathize with the oppressors agenda in any shape, form or fashion,” he wrote in the comments of his picture.
While there were a few IG and Twitter users who supported his social media message, many others blasted the rapper for alluding that only cisgender black men can be considered strong in the community.

Soo, strength is dependent on sexual orientation? We gotta do better. If we as black people continue to discriminate within our communities, how we gon stand together as a whole?

Niggas get mad at H&M and then go ahead and defend Nipsey Hussles hatred for the LGBTQ community. It don’t work like that. It’s all of us or none of us.
