It’s no secret Normani is used to tearing up a stage after touring around for years with her girl group, Fifth Harmony. But after spreading her wings a solo act, the singer will be booked and busy in the new year, as an opening act on Ariana Grande‘s Sweetener World Tour.
In a joyful Instagram post, the 22-year-old shared her gratitude, saying, “I’m feeling special right now because I get to spend three months on tour with Ariana Grande.” With 42 shows on the first leg of the tour, the Houston bred artist also noted that she will be spending a total of three months on tour with Grande.
This is the first time the “Love Lies” singer will be hitting the road without her fellow girl group members. With more than three months until the tour begins, the multifaceted super-star will have time to release music from her highly-anticipated solo-album—much like Grande did with her new, break-up anthem, “thank u, next,” where she maturely addresses her past romantic relationships and present focus on self-love.
