Billy Ray Cyrus helped social media star/rapper Lil Nas X turn lemons into lemonade by hopping on the remix to his track, “Old Town Road.”
The original song gained heaps of traction after it was announced it was being removed from Billboard‘s Country chart. The publication said the song’s removal was because it “does not embrace enough elements of today’s country music to chart in its current version.”
Cyrus, who showed his love the song via social media, strapped on his boots and joined in for the song’s remix. In the country-fried version of the track, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer adds memorable bars such as “Baby’s gotta habit, diamond rings, and Fendi sports bras/ Riding down Rodeo with my Maserati sports car.” He also sings the final chorus of the song with Lil Nas X, who shared videos and photos of the country singer in the studio with him on Instagram.
Since the song’s release to streaming services, it appears everyone is digging the remix. The song is currently at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, and we wouldn’t be surprised if it continued to rise thanks to this epic remix.
