It likely wasn’t a move that many expected, but Maybach Music CEO Rick Ross has signed Omarion to MMG (via XXL). “It’s been a blessing,” Omarion says. “There’s a difference between your time and when you want to do things and God’s time, you know what I mean? And this right here man, it’s been God’s time, man.” The singer says the deal came about by accident after bumping into Rozay and being pulled aside upon asking for a collaboration. Rozay had wanted to induct the singer into the MMG family for some time. Now Sir O finds himself signed, and the singer says listeners can expect to hear some new material very soon. “Probably over the next like couple months, we probably be dropping some stuff, you know. I want to do an EP just for the fans.” He also just dropped a DJ Drama mixtape.
