Say what you want, but Pharrell has dominated 2014. Not only did he release his critically-acclaimed G I R L album (which is responsible for radio’s “Happy” renaissance), but he released an accompanying G I R L unisex fragrance with COMMES de Garcon, contributed plentifully to other artists, sobbed on Oprah Prime, made his debut on The Voice, starred in a new Chanel film and collaborated with retail brands like Adidas, G-Star Raw, Moynat and Uniqlo. It’s only fitting that the next thing on the agenda is to get his own Hollywood star. According to Variety, Pharrell will become the newest addition to the Hollywood Walk of Fame next month.

He will receive the 2,537th star on the Walk of Fame in front of the W Hollywood Hotel and Ellen DeGenres will be on hand to help present it. You can watch a live stream of the event on Dec. 4 starting at 11:30 a.m. PST on Walkoffame.com. Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, made a statement about his induction. “We are so happy to pay tribute to Pharrell Williams, one of the nicest and most talented artists in show business,” she said. “His music is known the world over, and we are confident that fans will be ‘happy’ to see his star shine on our Walk of Fame.” What a way to close out the year!
