There’s a dire crisis happening in our oceans that involves the bottle of water or juice you’re probably drinking right now.
In association with i-D, Pharrell Williams and director Jake Sumner have teamed up to shed light on this environmental situation in a new documentary titled “The Plastic Age.” According to the website, there’s an estimated 700 million tons of plastic waste in the Pacific Ocean. Plastic’s inability to decompose such as other elements like glass or metal has made this product a hassle for creatures under the water, thus affecting the food that we consume.
Part of the doc’s efforts, and the parties involved, will seek to clean areas that are affected, and highlight RAW for the Oceans’ initiative along with G-Star RAW, Bionic Yarn, and Parley for the Oceans.
Ahead of its premiere date on April 15, check out the trailer below.
