UK producer and DJ, Aaron Snapes has spent the past few years developing his booty-bass, techno-funk sound, while releasing some absolute smashers independently, and on Los Angeles-based rising imprint Perfect Driver. As a result, he has also been on the radar of bass king and Dirtybird head honcho Claude VonStroke.
Snapes makes his Dirtybird debut with the release of his latest two-tracker ‘Introducing Aaron Snapes’ EP set to be released officially September 1 on Beatport. He gave VIBE the first track, “Panther,” a hot, jacked-up, butt shaking after hours tune with loopy, warped out low-end bass, chopped up junky robotic vocals and hypnotizing snare stabs. In the midst of the quirky, mind-melding loops, like a panther, the elaborately assembled groove jumps out of nowhere resulting in sheer dance floor recklessness.
