The historic Duck Down Music welcomes a new face into their inner cirlce. They’ve been grinding, and prepping 21-year-old crooner/spitta Chelsea Reject to kill the game. The St. Lucia born-Brooklyn raised artist describes herself as a shy, and slightly awkward girl. But we don’t buy that. She’s too aggressive on the mic. As heard and seen with her new song/visual dubbed, “Go,” featuring T’Nah Apex and Pro Era’s CJ Fly.
The plaited lyricist, who is reminiscent of Jill Scott with top-notch bars, drops uplifting, spiritually, and morally inspired lyrics and melodies over a jazz-like backdrop laced with chilled-out horns.
Back in 2013, Chelsea released her debut mixtape Radi-8, and has been praised by the BK prodigy Joey Bada$$ and his Pro Era crew. Chelsea is set to drop her upcoming mixtape CMPLX soon. Until then, peep her new song and video above.
