Following his introductory speech at Saturday night’s (Oct. 22) BET “Love and Happiness” event on the White House lawn, President Obama headed over to the dance floor with other party guests to hit his very first presidential dab and dance along to Drake’s “Hotline Bling.”
Prior to strutting onto the dance floor, Obama reportedly joked, “There will be no twerking tonight — at least not by me. I don’t know about Usher.” In a video later taken by the Hard II Love singer, Obama was captured in the background swaying along with the DJ’s music. As Usher sang along to Drake’s No. 1 hit, President Obama tried his best to mimic the rapper’s signature moves in his colorful music video. According to musician James Poyser, who was grooving close by, President Obama even finished his two-step by dabbing in the middle of the dance floor.

The POTUS and Usher weren’t the only people to cut something on the floor though. The musical event also welcomed performances and appearances from Jill Scott, The Roots, Janelle Monae, De La Soul, and many more, according to the Associated Press.
When the POTUS is dabbing with @Usher in the middle of the dance floor at the White House, you KNOW you're at the most epic party ever!!

BET will air the full concert and dance party Nov. 15. But in the meantime, watch President Obama bust a move here.
