Since the recent protests down in Baltimore and the outpour of feelings celebrities have shared on social media regarding Freddie Gray’s tragic death, another pivotal artist has something to say.
According to Billboard, the “Purple Rain” singer, Prince, will release a tribute track to Baltimore. Although there isn’t a date on exactly when he’ll release it, we at least know how Prince feels about the events that have been taken place. A few months ago at the Grammy’s, while presenting the award foe best album, he said, “Albums — you remember those? They still matter. Like books and black lives, they still matter.”
