Just months after joining Facebook (and posting his first selfie), Prince has deleted all of his social media accounts and removed a slew of his videos from YouTube. All that is left on his Vevo profile includes a 2-mintue interview, and his track titled “Breakfast Can Wait.”
NME reports there’s no reasoning behind the multi-talented musician’s erasure of his online profiles, but it’s been noted in a 2010 interview with Mirror that the “FUNKNROLL” singer isn’t very fond of the Internet:
The Internet’s completely over. I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it. The Internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good.
The Minneapolis native’s music has also been erased from his Soundcloud page.
