
Cleveland area rapper, Q Money was reportedly arrested for murder in Georgia, the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office confirms. The rapper was reportedly taken into custody on Thursday (April 18) where he was charged with one felony count.
The arrest warrant, which was initially issued on Monday (Apil 15), alleges Q Money fatally shot the victim, Calvin Alexander Chappell, at his home in Decatur. A witness claims to have found the 23-year-old rapper – Qamar Williams – standing over the victim, Cleveland.com reports. Officers reported discovering the deceased lying face down in the living room near several bullet casings.
According to police reports, the victim’s roommate and cousin also saw Q standing over the victim and quickly acted to remove the gun from the rapper’s hand. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said Q Money was arrested shortly after without incident.
Q Money gained attention in 2018 with the release of his single, “Work.” That same year, he inked a deal with Warner Bros. Records and Think It’s A Game Records.
