Quentin Miller’s working relationship with his longtime collaborator, Drake is dead and gone. In a series of now-deleted posts on Twitter on Sunday (Sept. 30), Miller declared that he has not desire to work with Drizzy on music again.
The topic came up after Miller shared a cut of Drake’s single “No Tellin'” from 2015’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. After one fan suggested that he link up with Drake to work on new music, Miller set the record straight. “Never doing anything with that guy again,” said in response. “I literally don’t even care for that to become a thing.
He didn’t necessarily indicate that there was any bad blood between him and Drake, but it was clear his stance on the situation was final. “We’re finished… He’s doing him, I’m doing me…point blank,” he added. “That’s it tho. S**t dead.”
Miller and Drake’s relationship has been a hot topic in the hip-hop community for the past three years. Their relationship first came into question in 2015, after Meek Mill claimed that Miller ghostwrote Drake’s verse on the 2015 track “R.I.C.O.” It was later revealed that Miller had penned other bars for the rapper.
In a June 2018 interview with Rolling Stone, Miller spoke about what it was like to be outed in the midst of Meek and Drake’s feud. “That was the first major thing I was ever a part of,” he said in June. “It was sort of like my Taylor Swift moment, and Meek Mill kind of Kanye-ed me. I got Kanye-ed by Meek, but it’s all good.”
Drake also talked about his relationship with Miller on his song “Duppy Freestyle,” after Pusha T called him out for using a ghostwriter.
