Another attempt to mute the alleged victims of R. Kelly has failed. According to reports, the manager of the controversial musician is being accused of threatening the father of one of his “sex cult” members, Joycelyn Savage.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, “Timothy Savage called police to his Georgia residence on January 3 just before 6 AM and claimed he was receiving threats by a man named Don Russell, who is the manager for R. Kelly.”
In the police document, Savage was reportedly texted by Mr. Russell, who said it would “be best for him and his family if the documentary [Surviving R. Kelly] does not air.” During a phone call that was put on speaker while the officer was at the residence with Mr. Savage, Russell reportedly said that the Savages were providing “false information” for the doc. He threatened to reveal information about Mr. Savage as a retort.
Kelly reportedly has not seen the Lifetime documentary, which aired in six parts over three nights last week. However, he is reportedly planning to sue everyone involved. A fan-made Facebook page called “Surviving Lies,” which was created to show interactions between Kelly and his accusers, was taken down from the social media site.
