After having a year to remember, the eccentric duo that is Rae Sremmurd is taking it back to where it all started to end 2015 off with a bang. The twosome look to bring SremmLife to their hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi as the brothers will host the first annual “SremmFest” in December. The festival will be a three-day long event as the two pay homage to where they grew up.
“We’re trying to bring good vibes back to our hometown and to bring positivity through the music that’s brought us from Tupelo, Miss., to all across the world,” says member, Slim Jxmmi. The festivities will be held from Dec. 18-20 and will include a celebrity basketball game, a concert, and a community BBQ in addition to a toy and food drive. The pair is also set to receive the key to the city from Tupelo’s very own mayor, Jason Shelton. Sounds like an eventful weekend, SremmLife style.
