Helping fans empower emerging, underground musicians, Red Bull Soundstage provides artists with the next step to get to the next level. Recently, they premiered the “Sound & Vision” documentary featuring growing Los Angeles band HAIM. Already, praised by various media outlets including the New York TImes and Vogue, HAIM are a band to watch out for this upcoming season after obtaining the title of “Best New Bands of 2012” by Stereogum. The 12-minute documentary showcases the emerging band’s talent by following members and sisters Este (bassist), Danielle (lead guitarist), and Alana Haim (rhythm guitar, keyboard and percussionist) as they tell the story of how they went from spending their childhood raised in LA’s San Fernando Valley playing alongside their parents in a family band to venturing out on their own, with the addition of drummer Dash Hutton. Since then, HAIM have performed with a variety of artists including Mumford & Sons, The xx, Julian Casablancas, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and, most recently, opened for Twin Shadow in LA. They are set to headline shows in NYC and LA this December (see below). Their Forever EP is available now on iTunes.
