Lil Wayne’s Nightline interview has placed the 34-year-old rapper at the center of controversy. After the Young Money CEO claimed to not feel connected to the Black Lives Matter movement, many took to social media to sound off on his comments including friend, fellow emcee and collaborator T.I. who posted a lengthy rant on Instagram scolding Weezy for his problematic stance.
Wayne’s 17-year-old daughter Reginae Carter, who has staunchly defended both her parents in the past, hopped on social media to once again come to her father’s aid.
“You lost his number?” Reginae wrote under T.I’s original post. “You should’ve copied and pasted this and sent it to him thru via text, but you wanna seek for attention.”
Reginae followed up her retort to T.I. with a concise Tweet.
DO NOT COME FOR TOYA AND WAYNE . Just point.blank.period.

Some online commend Reginae for defending her famous dad, while others think she should stay in a child’s place.
@reginae_carter1 Too damn grown, that’s your problem. Your parents don’t need you defending them all the time. Stay in a child’s place.
