The newest season of the New York edition of the VH1 series Love & Hip Hop on the horizon. While two of the show’s newcomers are Remy Ma and Papoose, they are no strangers to the rap game. The couple spoke on how they are handling bringing their personal lives onto the small screen for everyone to see. The two stopped by Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning to discussing how they’re adjusting to reality TV life.
Papoose may be able to keep it all calm, cool, and collected on camera as he shares how he handles it all. “I’m keeping my composure. And I’m taking it one day at a time. You know what I mean?,” he said. “But I think it’s gonna be good. I think it’s gonna be great.” But his wife on the other hand, didn’t shy away from saying that some of frustrations did come across on camera especially after a clip of the show surfaced of her having a fall out with one of her friends.
“There’s certain things that just bothered me,” she said. “And anybody that knows me…I don’t really bite my tongue for anybody. You can be my friend. You can be my sister, my brother. Any family member. And I’m just gonna say how I feel. And sometimes even when I’m talking regularly—It doesn’t even really have to be an issue. I’m so direct and so blunt, it comes off as disrespectful. And it comes off as me being really aggressive…It was an incident that happened and I just felt some type of way about it. And I did what I felt I needed to do…I got pissed off and I just turned into the old Remy Ma for a couple of minutes.”
And of course, Remy and Papoose spit a freestyle. Love & Hip-Hop as it premieres Monday, Dec. 14 on VH1. Watch their Hot 97 appearance below:
