On Tuesday night (July 26), rappers G-Eazy and Logic brought loads of inspiration and good vibes to the Barclays Center on their NYC leg of the Endless Summer tour.
But before Logic and G blessed the antsy millennials with their positive and auspicious energy, YG, and the self-proclaimed King of Memphis, Yo Gotti, respectively, set the party off with their brief sets.
At approximately 7:02 p.m. the Barclays Center went pitch black, and seconds later YG took the stage – -with big red lights that read “BRAZY” behind him — to thundering applause. Coming off the release of his sophomore effort, Still Brazy, YG took concertgoers to Compton’s 400 Spruce Street with his gang affiliated raps. Wearing a white t-shirt, tucked into his blue and red shorts, and black socks pulled up to his knees, the West Coast rapper ran through songs like “Bpt,” “Who Do You Love,” and his politically-charged “FDT.”
After leaving the gang-banging spots of Compton, Barclays went to the trap spot with Yo Gotti. Dipped in his usual all white outfits, with his protruding belly, Gotti stormed the stage to “Fuck You,” from 2013’s album, I Am. With girls seductively dancing and taking selfies while the guys pose in their d-boy stands, Gotti did his verse from Snootie Wild’s “Yayo” before bigging up the ladies with “Five Star.” The CMG boss ended his set with his current hit, “Down In The DM.”
By the time YG and Gotti left the stage, the Barclays Center was at its capacity–18,000 seats- and concertgoers were wiling out by dancing, yelling, beer chugging and lots Snapchat’ing and Instagram’ing.
Just after 8:30 p.m., Logic graced the stage wearing a white Brooklyn Nets sweater and dark jeans. With two giant screens on stage showing the universe—a play off his latest album, Incredible True Story—and the soulful instrumental “Contact” blasting from the arena’s sound system, anxiousness filled the Barclays as concertgoers bounced in unison–like eager kids on Christmas morning—ready for Logic’s set.
With a packed venue, and everyone on their feet, the racially mixed (black and white) emcee paced the stage while easily rolling through “Fade Away,” “Like Whoa,” “Young Jesus,“ and “I Am The Greatest.”
Concertgoers egged Logic on as he told stories of how he rarely leaves the house because he’s always working hard to perfect his craft. To exercise his work ethic for fans, Logic built a beat from scratch on his beat machine before spitting a freestyle for fans.
Afterwards, the Maryland emcee told an encouraging story of progress. “I remember my first time ever doing a show in New York. It was at the Webster Hall, and I got $100. It was about 10 people there. And now I’m doing shows in Barclays,” Logic said to earsplitting applause.

Logic ended his set with ‘Gang Related,” and “Growing Pains III.” A fan in the front row—who’s face was plastered on arena’s big screen—matched Logic word for word as he ended his set with just as much admiration as he started with.
At 10:15 p.m., a smooth and confident G-Eazy graced the stage with red strobe lights flashing around the Barclays. With his white jeans and a casual button-up shirt opened at the chest, Eazy commenced his set with “These Things Happen.”
Continuing to live in the moment, G-Eazy’s pointed out his Mom, who was in the front row. “I had to fly her out here to see this. She’s the reason I work so hard. She’s always encouraged me. She let me and my friends record loud music after school until late at night,” G-Eazy said providing the perfect #AwwMoment.
Like Logic, Eazy told his story of how he dreamed of performing in New York City, and his first NYC show, which was in front of very few people at the Webster Hall. His testimony sent chills throughout the venue thanks to the loud screams.
After rolling through “Random,” “One of Them,” and ‘Of All Things,” G-Eazy brought out Yonkers very own, Jadakiss for a performance of “Why,” and “Knock Yourself Out.” He also brought YG back on stage for a remix of “FDT,” and a few more encouraging words of how blessed he’s to be able to live out a dream. Eazy capped off the night at approximately 11:09 p.m. with the sobering “Me Myself and I.”
As the the venue cleared out, one left the Endless Summer Tour feeling like they could conquer the world if they just focus and block out distractions.
