Frank Ocean’s waves in the music industry have remained calm since the release of his album Channel Orange in 2012. Since then, fans have patiently waited for a new full-length project or another single from the “Thinkin Bout You” singer. In the summer of last year, the New Orleans native posted an image to Tumblr that led his fans to believe new music was on the way. Suspected dates of the project’s imminent arrival have come and gone, but it looks like we might hear Ocean’s voice again thanks to Rich The Kid.
The Atlanta-based rapper captured an image of him and Ocean on Facetime and hinted at a collaboration coming soon. In a statement to The Fader, they actually plan to link up in the studio today (Jan. 7).

There’s no telling whether this project will be for Rich or Ocean’s personal projects, but either way we’re looking forward to hearing what they’ve concocted in the studio.
