The list of celebrities who were not pleased with Chris Rock’s opening monologue at the Oscars keeps growing. Next up is Rock Ross, who did not mince words when asked about Rock’s highly-anticipated performance. During a sit-down with Washington, D.C.’s 93.9, the MMG boss said he was never fond of the legendary comedian, and called him a “cornball” for good measure.
“Chris Rock, he a cornball. Let’s keep it real,” Rick Ross said, during the interview. “I ain’t even finna kick it with y’all like that. Chris Rock a cornball. And I’mma leave it right there. It wasn’t funny. He ain’t the one. I’m not a fan of his.”
It seems that Ross is rather consistent with his disdain for Rock, however. While hosting the 2014 BET Awards, Rock made a joke about Ross’ weight: “Dre has Beats, Rick Ross has DiaBEATS,” he said. Ross took to Twitter thereafter, with his short and not-so-sweet thoughts on Rock’s career:

Earlier this week, Tyrese also came forward to express his discontent with Rock’s Oscars monologue. Specifically taking issue with his commentary about Jada Pinkett-Smith, the singer/actor wrote a lengthy Instagram caption to Rock, questioning his aim at the actress.
“Did you really use your STAGE to tear down and diminish one of the strongest most fearless black women IN this town as the world watched??? Jokes are just jokes right???? Not when someone is trying to affect change,” it read. “Not when someone is willing to put it ALL on the line to affect change for our daughters and sons of the future.”
