Rick Ross has cancelled planned tour dates in North Carolina after threats from the Gangster Disciples surfaced online. The shows, which were meant to happen on Friday and Saturday, were scheduled for Greensboro and Charlotte, respectively. Ross was meant to perform alongside Meek MIll, Wale and Machine Gun Kelly, but that was before the GDs released a video, threatening Ross.
The North Carolina faction of the gang threatened the Maybach Music honcho, claiming they would show up at his concerts in the Tar Heel State, and posted a music video including the lyrics “We Maybach killer.” This is the most recent in a line of threats issued by GDs against Ross, who caught their attention after name checking the Gangster Disciple head, Larry Hoover, in his song “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast).”
Ross had been threatened by the Florida faction of the GDs, but performed tonight in Miami alongside Diddy. This is not the first tour date he has cancelled – he had to skip planned dates in Arizona and other places due to health issues.
