As we draw closer and closer to Rick Ross’ ninth studio album, Rather You Than Me, the bawse gives us another solid single. His one-time rival turned friend joins Rozay on “She On My D**k” — the subject matter needs little explanation.
The two dopeboys flow effortlessly over the Beat Billionaire’s heavy, horn filled, bass driven production as they spit bars bragging and boasting on their success — and explain how the ladies jock them endlessly over their diamonds, money, and expensive swag.
“All my niggas out the scott snagged the quick slop/Swear to god I’ma die for this wristwatch/Growing up at risco they called us piss poor/Realest nigga in the city, let a bitch know/Red bottoms all white just to shoot dice/Rick Brown leave ya, do it like I’m Big Mike,” spits Ross on the track.
Big Guwop doesn’t let the beat off kindly either as he murders the track with some braggadocious bars like “Bill Belichick, I just got another ring/ Bust another check, and I just bought a new machine/ And like the Chargers, I’m about to move the team/ You bought a Charger, well Gucci bought a Lamborghine.”
Like his last album, Rpzay’s prolific new album will feature a who’s who of high profile artists and music legends such as Future, Chris Rock, Ty Dolla $ign, Nas, Young Jeezy and Ty$ sign. His MMG family also come through on the LP.
“I hope y’all feel this. Listen to the message, relate to the story, feel the pain and struggle in these lyrics – but more importantly, understand that there is a greater life on the other side of the nightmares,” Ross writes in an open letter about the forthcoming album. “It’s all for a purpose. It’s all for the better. I’m living proof. Boss shit!”
Ross’s Rather You Than Me will be available everywhere this Friday, March 17.
