Rick Ross returned to The Breakfast Club on Thursday (Dec. 3), to discuss a myriad of topics from his upcoming Black Market album release (Dec. 4) to his stance on Drake and Meek Mill’s rift.
The conversation began with a certain lyric on Ross’ latest mixtape, Renzel Remixes. The two-sided compilation featured the track “Color Money” where the Miami native allegedly takes a lyrical shot at Drake.
“My lil homie made a million on his girl tour / We back to back and down to whack a n–a unborn / Miami n—as got them changing all the gun laws / So run Forrest got some shooters and they dying too / I got more money than that p–y that you’re signed to.” When pressed about the song, Ross simply responded by stating, “it is what it is.”
“It’s a lot of different people that’s going to interpret it a lot of different ways and it is what it is. Everybody who knows Rozay know how I get down and when I come, I come,” the MMG leader said. “Let’s see how it unfolds. We most definitely know how I come and what I do. I don’t play no games.”
Rozay later spoke on the possibility of Drake and Meek Mill collaborating on wax again. “You never know and that’s how I felt. It’s still that way, but let’s not get it twisted. This is Renzel and this is still double M and we’re the biggest and best when it comes to this.”
The “Sorry” rapper also addressed his thoughts on Birdman and Lil Wayne’s beef, stating that he doesn’t have a problem with Birdman, but, “Me just seeing what Wayne going through as an artist, him being a boss, me idolizing Birdman at a time, me looking up to Lil Wayne being the first artist to make so many feats not just as an artist, but an artist coming from the south. That’s something that I took personal. So for me to see the way things are transpiring, I can’t respect that and I don’t respect that.”
