After numerous reports saying that bad gal Rihanna’s release date for her highly-anticipated album ANTI was Nov. 6, Billboard debunked the rumors and simultaneously sunk the ships of the Rihanna Navy. Not only will the album not drop on the supposed date, but it likely won’t drop the week after either, according to the report.
“That means it’s also unlikely ANTI will be dropping the following week, as Nov. 13 will see a heated showdown between One Direction’s Made In the A.M. and Justin Bieber’s Purpose for the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200,” the website reads.
Ri-Ri’s eighth album was finally announced last week (Oct. 7). at Los Angeles’ Mama Gallery. The album’s artwork, painted by Roy Nachum, depicted a young Rihanna holding a balloon with a gold crown covering her eyes with a braille poem serving as her background. This will be her first album since 2012’s Unapologetic.
Three of the songs said to be on the album have already been released throughout the past year: “FourFiveSeconds,” “American Oxygen,” and “Bitch Better Have My Money.” Rihanna will be performing on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Dec. 8. Hopefully she’ll treat us to a small taste of what’s to come.
