Rihanna and JAY-Z met up for a “business lunch” at Hotel Bel Air Los Angeles on Wednesday (Feb. 6), sparking rumors of a possible music collaboration, Page Six reports.
The duo were supposedly overheard talking about “music and what they can do together,” a source told the outlet.
It’s been a while since Rih and Hov hopped on a track together. They first collaborated on Rihanna’s 2007 single “Umbrella,” and later on JAY’s “Run This Town” featuring Kanye West. The two joined forces again in 2011 for “Talk That Talk.”
Music rumors have been swirling around Rihanna for well over two years now, and some fans are becoming impatient. The comment section of Rihanna’s Instagram account is typically filled with members of her Navy demanding an album. Last week, US Weekly reported that the “Desperado” singer’s latest studio effort was officially done, but she quickly squashed the hearsay on Instagram writing, “It’s ain’t done until it’s done sis,” in response to a fan page.
As of now, there’s no official word on when Rihanna’s new album will drop. Last month, The Dream confirmed that the album was nearing completion.
