Rihanna’s ANTI World Tour is rolling along without any hiccups since it started earlier this month in Jacksonville, Fla. But a minor bump in the stateside trek just occurred with this news.
The Weeknd, who was slated to join the “Work” singer on the European side of her trek reportedly pulled out of the tour altogether. According to Live Nation via NME, various obligations with the Toronto native’s music placed a roadblock in fulfilling his tour commitment.
“Due to some unforeseen changes with upcoming projects, The Weeknd will no longer be joining Rihanna on her upcoming international ‘ANTI World Tour.'” the statement reads. There’s no further details as to what else probably prompted The Weeknd to drop out of the tour.
Big Sean is still scheduled to join Rih for her EU arrival which begins June 17.
