It looks like the hunt for “Becky with the good hair” persists. This time the #BeyHive has put another celebrity in the hot seat: Rita Ora. Although the Hive accused the U.K. singer of having an affair with Jay Z, Rita set the record straight once and for all.
The “Black Widow” songstress took to Twitter to dispel any allegations that she’s Becky. After Beyonce released her sixth studio album, Lemonade, which featured a single, “Sorry,” that referenced a mysterious woman that might have come between her happy family, fans went on a wild goose chase. After accusing designer, Rachel Roy, and even getting cook, Rachel Ray caught in the crossfire, fans quickly moved on to another potential suspect.
“I never usually address tabloid gossip,” Rita Ora tweeted, “but let me be clear, these rumours are false.” And fans know that she would never overstep the Queen Bey she expressed her admiration for the “Formation” artist. “I have nothing but the utmost respect for Beyonce. Let’s continue enjoying Lemonade,” she continued.

Rita has a long history with Jay Z and Beyonce, which may be why she was such an easy target. She signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation in 2008, and was originally thought of as the next to ‘watch the throne.’ Although the relationship turned sour when Rita filed a lawsuit against the label due to the lack of support, the relationship seemed to be just enough to raise some eyebrows.
In the light of her new drama with the Roc dynasty, the “Body On me”songstress also posted a selfie on Snapchat, wearing lingerie with lemons on it. It’s likely that Beyonce isn’t paying ay mind to the controversy, but this might be a perfect way to get back in the BeyHive’s good graces.
