As fall creeps up closer and closer, Ro James is stepping back centerstage with new tunes for the season. The singer-songwriter (and Scorpio) has freed up the Pierre Medor and Tricky Stewart-produced song, “Excuse Me.” “Excuse Me,” a breezier, poppier version of James’ brand of lust music, is the lead single from his forthcoming sophomore album, set to release via ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records.
“Why you do this to me/When you know how I felt?/Every time I touch, your skin getting melted/But you freeze quickly, I swear you so cold/When I’m in my head, that’s when I miss you the most,” he sings.
James has been steadily building up to this moment. Earlier this year, he released his 4-track Smoke EP and embarked on a joint North American “R&B Tour” with fellow crooner BJ the Chicago Kid. While we wait on the album title and official release date, press play on the new single below.
