Royce Da 5’9″ has just premiered his new music video for his song “Layers” featuring G.O.O.D. Music president Pusha T — and MMG head honcho Rick Ross.
The latest release from Detroit’s veteran emcee comes as a follow up to his highly touted project Layers, which was released back in April. The title track is an immaculately produced number (production by Mr. Porter) that showcases lyrically rich heavy verses from Push and Ross that explore the different layers of the hip hop industry.
We witness corrupt politicians who have thrived off cheating impoverished communities get their just due. The cinematic experience showcases Royce and Co. planning out a robbery and kidnapping of a sleazy politician. Royce’s journey unfolds at a motel that he takes over in order to make sure his mission is accomplished. The high level of videography comes to us courtesy of director Ryan Snyder.
