With rap fans celebrating the 20 anniversary of Jay Z’s classic Reasonable Doubt album, Brooklyn rapper Skyzoo decided to tap into his creative zone for “Friend or Foe 3.”
Sky penned a clever story where he raps from the perspective of the murder victim on “Friend Or Foe ’98.” As the rival hustler’s son, Sky seeks revenge on Hov for killing his father — the Jamaican guy that Hov has taken care of on “Friend Or Foe ’98” — and in his film Streets Is Watching.
For Skyzoo to pull this story off, it took a lot of thought and skill. And no, Sky and Hov are not beefing. This is just clever hip-hop, and a way for him to pay homage to one of the greatest emcees and businessmen in hip-hop.
