Skyzoo is preparing the release of his new project Music For My Friends, slated for a June 23rd release. But first, we have a Cinco De Mayo treat from the Brooklyn rhymslinger.
Over a neck-snapping backdrop, Sky lets loose balls of fire from a cannon dipped in moral lessons about self-esteem issues without being preachy on the track, “Suicide Doors.”
“I wanted this record to really remind people of what I do as far as entendres go,” Skyzoo said via email. “The double and even triple meanings, the layering, the stacking, I wanted that be the foundation for this song. Being that the album itself is based on storytelling more so than anything else, I wanted to have at least one record where I just let it all fly.”
A couple months ago, Skyzoo posted an Instagram photo of him and Jadakiss together in the studio. We’re hoping that that collab is the next single. However, the BK boy has no problem holding it down on his own.
