Kaep’s 2016 campaign called on citizens to help donate to organizations aimed at societal change. Over that time frame, they’ve donated to over 40 different organizations. With the goal getting closer, Kaep is kicking it into gear. On Jan. 17, the NFL free agent announced that he and 10 friends would be donating the last $100,000 over the next 10 days, which he helmed the #10for10 campaign.
“It’s important to identify people doing good work in the community to help break the cycle and the systemic oppression that we are facing everyday,” he wrote on Twitter. As of press time, the total amount of donations stands at $940,000.
