
Snoop Dogg will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Tuesday (Nov. 13), the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced.
Recognized in the recording category, the veteran rapper is set to receive the 2651st star on Hollywood Blvd, placed directly in front of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
In light of the star’s placement, on Monday (Nov. 19), Jimmy Kimmel will present Snoop with the honor during a special dedication ceremony. Kimmel will be also be joined by Leron Gubler, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Dre and Quincy Jones.
“Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything,” says Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work. He is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
With a career spanning over two decades, Snoop Dogg’s influence is remarkable. A pioneer of hip-hop’s g-funk sub-genre, Snoop has released 18 studio albums and sold over 40 million albums since 1993. In addition to commemorating the legacy Snoop’s career, the multifaceted star is also celebrating the 25th Anniversary of his debut album, Doggystyle.
The dedication ceremony will take place at 11:30 am PT on Nov. 19. Fans can live stream the event at WalkofFame.com.
