You don’t have to be a gamer to know of the Halo phenomenon. Halo Nation has one of the most dedicated fan bases in all of gaming, comprised of millions around the world.
Microsoft and 343 Industries, in conjunction with soundtrack partner 7Hz Productions, are recognizing the passion of these fans with the “Halo 4” Soundtrack Remix Contest. Now aspiring musicians and DJs alike have a chance to get their music out to this widespread fan-base by working with the exclusive original stems of Halo composer/producer Neil Davidge, and putting their own spin on the “Halo 4” soundtrack. The competition starts October 3 and will run through October 29, with the main prizes awarded to the most original and creative tracks. Contestants will have access to three samples from the “Halo 4” Soundtrack, allowing for a wide range of potential remix styles and musical genres. For full contest submission guidelines and rules, visit: Halo4Remix.com.
Entries will be judged by Neil, as well as “Halo 4” audio director Sotaro Tojima, and DJs’ Sander van Doorn and CASPA (sweet!) based on originality, creativity, and musicality. The winners will be announced November 16.
Prizes vary on region and can include a Samsung Series 7 Laptop, “Halo 4” Limited Edition Xbox 360 Console, “Halo 4” Trigger Stereo Headset, and a complete collection of Official Halo soundtracks. Oh, and did we forget to mention your winning track being listened to millions of fans? Upload your unique sound today and good luck!
