Sosamann has had plenty of solo success in Houston. The Braeswood representative has kept his toes knee deep in the streets, cultivating a sort of ghetto Robin Hood approach to crafting music and spreading the message of the Sauce. He’s been a co-conspirator in making regional hits of his own (“Did A Lot”) and for others (DJ XO’s “Off The Lot”). Now comes time for possibly his biggest move yet.
Sosamann’s wry mix of singing and rapping has caught the attention of Taylor Gang head honcho Wiz Khalifa and together, the two of them link for “Not The Vine”, the lead single from Sosamann’s Sauce Eskobar mixtape, premiered by VIBE.
Sosamann & Wiz’s world’s are pretty similar. Both appreciate specific strains of weed, fine women, cars that could be considered spaceships and reminiscing on when they had absolutely nothing. Sosamann’s opening verse mixes coming of age raps (“I ain’t remember I ain’t have a dime / I remember I was out committing crimes / And my own way I had to find”) while appealing to the world that his flavor of stunting is better than six seconds maximum.
Wiz sticks to stunting for his guest verse, kicking girls out the crib and rapping the Taylors while offering a one night stand to keep his player repertoire up.
