Since starting off the month of January with headline after headline of wanting his just due and clearing the air on previous rifts, Soulja Boy is looking to begin February with a new game plan that involves a new business deal.
The 28-year-old entrepreneur announced on social media that he signed a contract with Warner/Chappell Music. He followed up the announcement by stating “I’m the hottest rapper in the game facts.” Details of the partnership are still unknown.

It’s official I’m now signed to Warner/Chappell I’m the hottest rapper in the game facts 🤷🏾♂️🙏🏾🔥❗️
Since his time in the media, other artists have stepped in to proclaim their awareness of the “Crank Dat” rapper’s effect. “If it wasn’t for Soulja Boy, A$AP Rocky probably wouldn’t be around,” A$AP Rocky previously said. “He kinda made a formula. He was the first to do it and it work for him and since then I think that kind of became a basis of a standard way to make it.” The Harlemite isn’t the only artist to voice their acknowledgement of Soulja Boy’s impact. After seemingly poking fun at his Tyga quip, Meek Mill admitted that the self-proclaimed Big Draco’s “Kiss Me Thru The Phone” song with Sammie helped him talk to girls while he was jailed as a youth.
“This was my favorite song when I was in jail back in the day calling girls collect….” he said, “and I used his bars in the letters I wrote them no cap lol.”
