With spring crawling its way around the corner, the season for festive music, cultures of food, and communion under the sun is soon to arrive. South By Southwest in Austin, Texas will serve as the perfect transition. Today (Feb. 19), Spotify was proud to announce their involvement in SXSW, one of the most profound music and film festivals, taking place from March 15-20.
To kick off the festival properly, Spotify will be hosting their own line up, including over 30 up and coming acts such as James Bay, MisterWives, Marian Hill and many more. Bigger acts include Wale, Run The Jewels, SZA, Joey Badass and Stromae, to name a few. Live performances will be taking place everyday, spread across two separate stages, while other festival goers partake in the munchies curated by Spotify affiliate, SUPPER.
Festivals usually toe the line between hedonism and out-right gluttony, and The Spotify House knows this. Their solution: kick off each day with live DJ sets—Ryan Hemsworth, Just Blaze, DJ Premier and Hudson Mohawke will be spinning—and SoulCycle exercise routines. Spotify has also teamed up with Bose, Squarespace, and truth to present one-of-kind experiences for SXSW guests.
SXSW will take place from March 15-20. For more information about The Spotify House and event scheduling, head here.
