Earlier this month, the Los Angeles Superior Court ruled that Suge Knight’s phone, mail and visitor privileges be revoked. Now, it seems Suge is attempting to fight against the order, claiming that he has been robbed of his “basic human rights.” According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the former rap mogul is also claiming that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detective in charge of his murder case conspired with the Los Angeles Superior Court judge. He now sits in solitary confinement with no contact with the outside world.
According to the Los Angeles Times, an initial restriction was placed on all of Knights non-attorney visits back in March 2015. He was later only allowed to see his parents, children, spiritual advisors, bail bondsman and a notary public. The reason for the latest ruling, which excludes everyone except his legal team, was not divulged. Knight’s attorneys are also allowed to call him, but are prohibited from adding any third parties to the calls.
Knight is currently being held on $10 million bail. He pleaded not guilty to robbery charges after an incident with a photographer involving Katt Williams in September 2014. He also faces life sentences after his deadly hit-and-run in January 2015, where one man was killed and another injured as he fled the set of Straight Outta Compton after a dispute.
