Things turned very sour in Suge Knight’s world when he became a key person-of-interest in deadly hit-and-run incident yesterday (Jan. 29). After getting into an altercation with two men on a movie set in Compton, the former Death Row Records CEO later reversed his car out of a restaurant parking lot and fatally stuck a man before driving away. The victim was identified as Terry Carter, an actor and friend of Suge’s. Another man was also hit by the car, but he did not sustain any life threatening injuries.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lt. John Corina believes that the occurrence may have been intentional. “It looks like he drove backward and struck the victims and then went forward and struck them again as he left,” Corina told KTLA. “It looked like it was an intentional act and would be treated as a homicide.”
However, several hours later (the incident occurred at 3:30 p.m.), Knight has officially surrendered himself to police. In video footage captured by the Associated Press, Suge, flanked by his lawyers and several detectives and with a cigar in hand, turned himself in early Friday morning (Jan. 30). Watch his very cool walk to the station up top.
