Since the debut of Summer Walker’s “Girls Need Love” melody in 2018, the Georgia native has steadily distributed songs that speak to her fans’ hearts. While there’s currently a disc of new tracks under her name (she released her EP, Clear in January), she revisited the aforementioned song, this time with Drake’s appearance.
On Wednesday afternoon (Feb. 27), the Arsenio Archer-produced track sees Drizzy singing about adhering to a woman’s desire for passion and intimacy. “I get it I’m on your side, guys get their way all the time/ Besides, pleasure not meant for one side/ You should just do what’s best for your mind/ How about I just take my time?”
When Walker released the link to the remix on social media, she expressed her elation in Drake’s guest verse, writing “omg I can’t believe this is really happening!” Walker also recently announced a seven-city tour beginning in Chicago on Mar. 21 and ends Apr. 1 in Atlanta.
