“With so much drama in the LBC,” what better way to bring everyone together than with a rap festival?
“Summertime In The LBC” is set for Saturday, August 5, headlined by 50 Cent & G-Unit, YG and Wu-Tang Clan. But the synthesizer-laced signature sounds don’t stop there. Other acts include Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony, George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, Zapp, and Tha Dogg Pound.
And what’s a California rap festival without the food to match? The social media-crazed, Trap Kitchen will be among food vendors in attendance at the musical event. The made-to-order turned catering company prides itself on tradition and passion.
Trap Kitchen, founded by Malachi “Spankihanas” Jenkins, delivers five-star meals for affordable prices right to your door. The food service, residing in the kitchen of co-founder and business partner, Roberto Arturo Smith’s apartment, can only be described by VICE as “Kendrick Lamar’s ‘m.A.A.d. city’ come to life.” The two men, one of Crip affiliation and the other, Piru, began their business when Jenkins dropped out of Le Cordon Bleu and began as “a personal chef for local pimps while living in Las Vegas.”
Other food stylings include All Flavor No Grease, Taco Well, A Little Taste Of Chyna, and Three Stakxs Kitchen.
Tickets for the show go live Friday (May 18) at 10 am PST, here. Grab your coins because all ages are welcomed.
