Swedish House Mafia’s Black Tie Rave from Swedish House Mafia on Vimeo.
It’s been nearly two months since Hurricane Sandy had flooded almost half of New York and New Jersey, and there are still many residents who are still feeling the pressures of its devastation. That is why the power “house” trio Swedish House Mafia are using their music and influence to host a black tie benefit (or shall we say black tie rave) in an effort raise funds for Hurricane Sandy relief. The event will take place on February 28 at Hammerstein Ballroom, and general admission tickets will be auctioned starting December 14 through December 16 at 10 p.m. EST. on TicketMaster. The starting bid is $100 per ticket with a purchase minimum of two tickets and a maximum of four tickets. SHM will donate 100 percent of the net proceeds from the event to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. For more information, click here. Now we know who’s going to save the world NYC/Jersey that Thursday night.
