
Sporting lime green inches, SZA thanked fans on Instagram Monday (Aug. 21) after learning that her debut album Ctrl surpassed 2.3 billion streams across all streaming services. “Today I found out we 2.3 billion streams deep and a bunch a other cool stuff,” she wrote on the social media platform. “I love my family. I love you all for pressing play at any time. Thank you for this journey.”
Visiting RCA’s offices, the TDE star posed alongside the president of TDE, Terrance “Punch” Henderson and Chairman/CEO of RCA Records, Peter Edge.
After numerous delays, when Ctrl finally dropped in June 2017, it immediately climbed up the charts and landed the third spot on Billboard’s Hot 200. This past March, the album went platinum as it continued to garner spins nine months after it’s release. Now, 14 months since its debut, Ctrl continues to prove its infectious staying power.
