Fans have been frantically awaiting the release of SZA’s debut album, A, but after the vocalist tweeted a message that indicated her backing out of the industry, they may never get it.
In a now deleted tweeted, the singer announced, “I actually quit,” to a fan who asked about her album release. She also directed any more questions to TDE’s head, Punch, implying that he may have had something to do with the album’s delay. “@Iampunch can release my album if he ever feels like it.”
As reported, the tweet has been removed from her account, so it is unclear whether she is serious about making an exit.

Throughout the year, SZA has been teasing the new album, and most recently, in an interview with Essence, the “Child’s Play” singer told the publication that she was looking to drop the project in November. Back in February, TDE boss, Anthony Tiffith shared the label’s release schedule with SZA’s project on the list along with Kendrick Lamar, Isaiah Rashad, Ab -Soul, and Schoolboy Q.
SZA has yet to comment on the weird tweet.
