
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Dr. Dre’s The Chronic album, T.I. opened up about how the release shaped his “perception of world.”
The Grand Hustle front man shared a little insight into the album’s impact via Instagram Friday (Dec. 15). “This album changed my perception of the world. I went from seeing through the eyes of a boy to the eyes of a man,” he shared adding that the album not only impacted him personally, but shifted rap culture.
“Thank you & Congrats to ALL PARTIES INVOLVED with the conception,& manifestation of this timeless masterpiece,” Tip wrote. “Happy 25th Gday to ‘The Chronic.’”
Released in 1992, The Chronic was Dr. Dre’s debut album and first release following his split with N.W.A. The culture-shifting LP peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and sold more than five million records in the U.S.
