Last year, Talib Kweli released his album Indie 500 which featured production entirely by one of the best soul sample choppers ever, 9th Wonder.
On the album, the BK rapper brought us back to 2000 when he rocked out with long time musical partner Hi-Tek for the moving song, “Every Ghetto.” The timely track received a new remix with Aloe Blacc singing soulfully over the chorus, and a guest verse from Cali rapper, Problem.

“Every Ghetto Pt.2” speaks heavily on the ongoing issues within the black community today. One of the main themes of course is police brutality. The track is set to be included on the upcoming Javotti Media Mixtape which is a project from Talib’s independent label Javotti Media.
Talib is also looking to release his 14th solo album Tour De Francew in the coming months.
