The streaming wars are very much so still a thing, and while Spotify may occupy the lion share of listeners loyalty, Tidal and Apple Music are still doing their part to stay in the race.
However, Apple Music may have tipped the scales in their favor. With Sunday night’s (September 20) release of Drake and Future’s What A Time To Be Alive mixtape, Apple decided to strike while the iron’s hot and show some love to the ladies with the release of their latest commercial.
Starring Taraji P. Henson, Scandal‘s Kerry Washington and the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige, the minute long ad opens with Taraji and Kerry headed to Mary’s house where they hear Slick Rick from outside. Once inside, the ladies jam out to everything from Phil Collin’s “In The Air Tonight” (Kerry’s air drum solo is kinda fresh) to Puff’s “All About The Benjamins”
The super stars shed their Hollywood persona and for sixty seconds prove they’re just regular girls from ’round the way.
