So about that hour long conversation Kanye West and Taylor Swift had.
After Swift earned the Grammy for album of the year for the second year in a row, Swift used the opportunity to thank all her album’s collaborators and fans. But the 26 year old made sure to use the moment to throw a not-so-subliminal shot at Kanye West.
“I want to say to all the young women out there: there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,” Swift said. “But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you … you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there, and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”
The comments come on the heels of the release of ‘Ye’s newest album The Life of Pablo, specifically the song “Famous” in which Mr. West raps about having sex with Taylor Swift.
“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why?/ I made that b–ch famous/ God d–m I made that b–ch famous.” raps ‘Ye.
After fans listened to the album, West took to Twitter to allege he spoke with Swift about the infamous line and said she was okay with it.

After her Monday night’s (February 15) acceptance speech, it’s clear she isn’t. In a statement from Swift’s rep to Billboard, Swift cautioned Kanye not to release the song due to it’s strong misogynistic message.
“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, “I made that bitch famous.’
