Tekashi 6ix9ine has a few things to sort out.
Previously set for a highly-anticipated release of his upcoming album Dummy Boy, Tekashi’s press run came to an abrupt halt on Monday, Nov. 19 when the young rapper and his former team was arrested by the feds on six counts of racketeering charges.
Originally thought to be a publicity stunt, court documents later revealed the true severity of the situation with 6ix9ine looking at 25-to-life behind bars.
Now, it looks like Dummy Boy won’t be coming as soon as fans originally expected. On Wednesday (Nov. 21), 6ix9ine’s Instagram account was updated with a new post regarding the status of his debut album.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have postponed the release of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s DUMMY BOY until further notice,” a Tekashi associate wrote on his official Instagram page. No new release date has been revealed.

Earlier today, Nicki Minaj also took to Instagram to share some insight on the status of Dummy Boy. According to the Queen rapper, the decision was made by Tekashi’s home label.
With his bail hearing canceled, Tekashi 6ix9ine will spend another week in Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center’s general population as he awaits his arraignment set for Monday (Nov. 26).
